Resources to help you get certified to sell in the Medicare Markets

Step 1: Complete AHIP or NABIP Annual Medicare Certification

The AHIP course is accepted by all carriers offering Medicare Advantage plans in our region for $175.  Some carriers offer a $50 discount on the test, contact us with questions.

NABIP, previously known as NAHU, is now open for Medicare certification training. Agents can complete this training through the NABIP Online Learning Institute for $100. If you complete AHIP certification training, you do not need to complete NABIP certification training. Carriers Accepting NABIP Certification

Step 2: Complete Carrier-Specific Product Training

NOTICE: To be considered ready to sell for Aetna’s 2025 Medicare products, you must attend a market-specific training. Register here!

Step by Step Instructions on How To Access AHIP through Aetna’s Website

1. Click on the link to access the certification training: https://aetna.cmpsystem.com/page/login
2. You will be directed to Aetna’s “Welcome to the Individual Medicare certification site.” Sign into
your account by using your Username and Password.
3. Once logged in, follow the instructions regarding your User ID Number. If none of the following
apply, click “Continue Producer Registration”.
4. On the next page, double-check that your information is up-to-date and correct then hit next.
5. Under “#1. 2025 Aetna individual Medicare Certification”, you will see “AHIP Medicare Training”.
This is where you will find the AHIP certification link and $50 discount.
6. Complete AHIP through Aetna to continue with your certifications!
